If you've been trying to find a treatment for tinnitus, and have tried all the remedies, vitamins and drugs your doctors have been getting you to use, I'm extremely relieved that you've found my blog because not only will my story shock you, it'll almost certainly save your health, your money as well as a lot of time and heart ache.

The blowing in my ears was becoming more bothersome so I decided to go and see my Family Doctor. I described to him the terrible sensations I was having with my hearing and my doctor told me that I was describing "tinnitus". My doctor at that point told me there was basically nothing he could do but recommended that I see an Ear, Nose & Throat Doctor which I didn't do right away as I thought I could put up with it.

A couple of months went by and I found that the tinnitus was getting worse now, I was having problems when in a crowded room or having a conversation with more then one, that my ability to focus and concentrate on the conversation was being effected. I could not separate the sounds and I began going into a shell which was not like me in any way. This problem was becoming more and more intrusive in my life and my relationships.

I Went To See A Specialist!

My Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist did some tests and came up with a diagnosis of subjective tinnitus, a noise in my inner ear (ringing ear) and nothing could be done about it. Also I had lost a little bit of hearing in my ear and the tinnitus would only get worse. Then he dealt me an awful blow, he said I would probably go deaf, with no real timeline to let me know if it was going to be next week, next year……Nothing!

I was also told that there are thousands of people around the world who also have this same problem. I certainly didn't feel any better after hearing that……and my thought is what do I do now?

I Tried My Doctors Suggestions.

It was suggested I try a hearing aid, to help with the hearing I had lost and also to help tune out the tinnitus if I could hear better. Surgery was also suggested but came with a possible chance of becoming deaf afterwards in either weeks or years. Becoming deaf was not an option for me to play roulette with so I decided to try the hearing aid.

I also decided to try a help group, as I believe I was driving my family crazy with them having to repeat things over and over again, or just shouting at me, leaving us all feeling frustrated with this problem. The help group assisted me with letting me share my troubles with understanding individuals, but it didn't solve the problems I was having in regular life. I just started to tolerate the tinnitus, which was not a good thing to do.

After weeks and weeks of trying these methods to help in my search for a way to stop the ringing and thumping in my ears, things just never got any better. I was going to go insane……I was feeling depressed and helpless.

I Have Had Enough And Went On A Search

After such a long time of just putting up with things, I felt I had two definate choices, one was to just live life like I was, which was really pretty terrible or the other was to stop listening to the doctors, and make my own decisions so I got up and went on a hunt. I hunted for everything I could find, and did alot of reading and came upon some different tinnitus remedies. Some I felt looked very good and others looked like just plain crap!

I Tried T-Gone Tinnitus Remedy And Failed

One I tried that was recommended to me by another tinnitus sufferer in my group was "T-Gone Tinnitus Remedies". I tried this for a month. It is a homeopathic tinnitus remedy that is in 2 parts, first is the homeopathic forumla that is supposed to build a foundation for tinnitus recovery and the second part is their immune booster formula. Not only did this remedy not leave me feeling very well but it also was very expensive, every 30 days I was being billed another $47. Add that up over a year and its over $600. I could not afford to keep this up even if I was feeling better.

After trying T-Gone I tried a couple of home remedies…..all of them were a different kind of supplement or vitamin, herbal treatment of tinnitus. This change of diet helped somewhat, but I was still having the ringing in my ears. I guess I was looking for the preverbial cure in a pill! I didn't find it though!
